This position is responsible for all elements of digital media within the division including graphic design, photography, and video board elements. Responsibilities include creating a wide variety of visually-appealing designs that engage and inform target audiences; act as the lead on all department photography at home and away events; and ensure that video board elements at home football, basketball, and volleyball events are designed and prepared for fan engagement. Additional responsibilities include a thorough understanding of branding/marketing, the ability to utilize current design software solutions, and the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to produce quality materials.

  • Create and design various materials for print and digital distribution, including social media content, posters, venue signage, web graphics, and other designs;
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule;
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications;
  • Ensure all projects adhere to established brand guidelines;
  • Work with internal stakeholders and team members to produce high-quality promotional materials;
  • Work collaboratively with the external team including marketing, broadcast, and communications;
  • Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the department appropriately;
  • Work independently as well as cooperatively to manage and meet deadlines;
  • Create content for and ensure readiness of video board material at football, basketball, and volleyball events;
  • Serve as lead photographer for the division;
  • Create and maintain a strong photography database for the division;
  • Travel to away games with teams as appropriate for digital content;
  • Oversee student graphic designers and videographers;
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required;
  • Three years of related experience is required;
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop is required.

As Digital Media Coordinator for the University of North Alabama, you will be expected to comply with all NCAA and Conference rules and regulations and with the provisions of gender equity as specified by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
