Junior Technical Writer Project Coordinator

We are seeking a Junior Technical Writer Project Coordinator to join our documentation team. In this entry-level role, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the essential skills of a technical writer while working closely with and receiving mentorship from our experienced senior writers. You will assist in creating clear and concise documentation for our products and services.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical writing while working under the guidance of senior writers. You will receive training and mentorship to develop the necessary skills for creating high-quality documentation. This is an excellent entry point for those seeking to launch their career in technical writing.

Note: This is a part-time role working up to 25 hours/week.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Support senior technical writers in developing user guides, manuals, online help, tutorials, and other documentation.

Gather information and requirements from subject matter experts and development teams.

Learn to organize and structure technical information in a logical, user-friendly manner.

Adhere to established documentation standards, style guides, and templates.

Assist with proofreading, formatting, and maintaining consistency across documentation.

Attend team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical writing skills.

Perform other documentation-related tasks as assigned by senior writers.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:
Associate's degree in English, Technical Communication, or a related field.

Strong written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity software.

Eager to learn and develop technical writing skills.

Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred:
Familiarity with technical writing tools or content management systems

Understanding of software development processes (an asset)
