SUMMARY OF JOB: Under the direction of the VP of HR, the HR and Recruitment Specialist assists the HR team in a variety of tasks including recruitment, onboarding, company culture initiatives, and other ad hoc projects. This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Ideal candidate is initiative-taking and skilled in HR, Recruiting, dealing with people at all levels of an organization, and thrives in being a contributing member of the HR team. The position is responsible for full cycle recruiting for the company and will also be involved in various HR responsibilities that impact both the employee and the applicant’s experience.

We are looking for someone who possesses strong communication, initiative-taking, and people skills, who thrives in identifying and resolving problems or inefficiencies along with handling confidential information with the utmost discretion and a high level of professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates. Leading the hiring process across the entire organization. Including working with hiring Managers on Job Descriptions and requirements for the job postings.
  • Utilizes both traditional and non-traditional resources and methods to attract strong talent. Posting jobs on various job boards and social media platforms in addition to the company website.
  • Review and screen referrals, resumes and applications.
  • Conduct compliant behavioral interviews.
  • Manage and update candidate information in the company’s HRIS (Applicant Tracking System) system.
  • Negotiates salary and start dates.
  • Assist with employer branding initiatives and develop a strong employer brand in the market.
  • Build relationships of trust with potential candidates and past applicants.
  • Screening interviews and decision making.
  • Coordinates the onboarding process with all departments and hiring managers, ensuring a positive New Hire experience that helps our employees get set up for success.
  • Provide excellent customer service to applicants and employees, addressing questions and requests promptly and effectively.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing work assignments and responding to HR-related matters.
  • Chairperson for all company events and activities.
  • Manage employee recognition programs.
  • Provides personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Two to three years related experience in HR preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (currently Paycom) and other HR-related software.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and possess a strong detail orientation.
  • Exhibit high degree of integrity and maintain strict confidentiality standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
