Non Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Pediatric Ophthalmology - #1336200

This position travels for main campus, midtown, Mayfield Heights and Westlake.

Essential Functions

• Assists healthcare providers in the ambulatory setting.
• Obtain patient past and present ocular and general medical history.
• Perform visual acuity.
• Perform diagnostic testing under the supervison of physicians and techs. These tests include visual field testing, keratometry, pachymetry, intraocular pressure check.
• Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
• Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other customers.
• Provides age specific care to patients from toddlers through elderly.
• Scribing for Physician.
• Provide other patient services and education as requested by the physicians.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Equivalent / GED . Required

• 1+ years experience in an Health care environment preferred but not required. Preferred

• Basic understanding of contact lens usage. Required
• Ability to work independently in a high stress environment. Required
• Demonstrated skill in interpersonal relationships. Required
• Use of general office equipment, including telephone, pager, and fax machines. Basic computer skills. Required
