The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to join the ICF Coaching Education Team. As Community Engagement Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of the ICF Coaching Education Global Knowledge Community. At the ICF, you’ll join an exciting team dedicated to creating and continuously improving a global community and digital experience that is changing the way our stakeholders of coach educators and trainers collaborate and learn. As a key member of the ICF Coaching Education team, this position is responsible for driving community engagement for our stakeholders, including hosting virtual programs, developing engaging digital content, and providing support to ICF accredited coach educators. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of online/digital community engagement and leading practices. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong customer service initiative, project management skills, and an understanding and/or willingness to learn about the Coaching profession. Familiarity with Higher Logic Thrive platform is considered a plus. The Community Engagement Manager will report to the Director of Strategic Initiatives - ICF Coaching Education.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a.) Community Engagement (30%):

  • Focus on increasing engagement and interaction within the online ICF Coaching Education Global Knowledge Community: a.) Oversee and manage a microsite within the Higher Logic Thrive platform, b.) Serve as a subject matter expert in community strategy utilizing leading practices in community engagement and digital communities, c.) Develop and implement data driven strategies to increase online membership engagement within the Global Knowledge Community, ICF website, forums, events, and other activities
  • Work with the Accreditation team to onboard new community members/organizations
  • Nurture stakeholders to understand user needs and connect them to resources and programming that ensures satisfaction with and value add from the ICF Coaching Education community
  • Develop and coordinate the execution of community initiatives that are aligned with ICF’s overall strategic direction and KPIs

b.) Volunteer Management & Leadership (30%):

  • Manage the community’s Global Volunteer Co-Leaders and Global Volunteer Ambassadors and any other groups that the global community creates: a.) Execute regular Volunteer Co-Leader/Ambassador calls and meetings including scheduling and agenda building, providing notes and follow up with groups, and communicating outcomes with others ICF internal teams, b.) Assist volunteer leaders with planning and coordination of monthly programs and events, c.) Focus Volunteer Co-Leader/Ambassador energy and activities to identifying key topics/issues that will allow ICF to provide value back to the community and that will drive increased community engagement
  • Oversee ICF Coaching Education volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition

c.) Programming & Event Planning (25%):

  • Coordinate and promote quarterly Town Hall events and monthly Discovery Series sessions (2-3 events per month): a.) Serve as the key liaison to community subject matter experts (i.e. SIGS, Oracle, Advisory Boards, Ambassadors, etc.) to drive the development, selection, and delivery of exceptional content digitally and at face-to-face events, b.) Coordinate virtual/digital meetings/events and all meeting tasks i.e., room set-up, audio/visual, pre-event, and onsite logistics
  • Collaborate with other ICF departments on events and programs related to ICF Coaching Education stakeholders including ICF Scholarship program, ICF Awards, Global Leaders Forum, and ICF Converge

d.) Marketing & Communications (10%):

  • Develop and manage content calendar for all external communications across the ICF Coaching Education team
  • Create and curate content for a monthly newsletter to the global community
  • Serve as key community-specific liaison to the member and industry research team, working side by side to plan community-specific surveys. Monitor survey progress and report results to ICF team and to the community
  • Serve as key community-specific liaison to the marketing, events & learning and development teams, working side by side to plan marketing campaigns and operations that maximize: a.) Community membership, including demographics completion, retention, and onboarding new stakeholders, b.) Community engagement in face to face and digital events, c.) The reach of both existing and new community content (webinars, white papers, articles, blogs, newsletters, events, videos, etc.)
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual engagement reports to leadership team

e.) Other duties as assigned by the Director of Strategic Initiatives and/or Vice President, ICF Coaching Education (5%)

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 plus years related professional experience
  • Position is fully remote, and a professional office environment is required
  • Association or volunteer management experience preferred
  • Experience with Higher Logic Thrive platform preferred
  • Professional level of verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel, and virtual meetings, e.g., Zoom, and willingness to learn additional software as needed
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work independently on multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
  • Ability to organize workload by priorities
  • Demonstrated pro-active approach to problem solving with strong decision-making skills
  • Exhibits a global mindset and ideally a passion and/or interest for coaching
  • ***Occasional domestic and international travel may be required?
