The Post-Doctoral Scholar in the lab of Dr. Mark Mitton-Fry will conduct experiments related to one or more laboratory projects and processes and analyze experimental results; synthesize Novel Bacterial Topoisomerase Inhibitors (NBTI); maintain laboratory notebooks and electronic files; compile laboratory results and summarize same in final figures, tables, and graphs using commercial software. Participate in writing manuscripts and grant applications. Promote safety culture in the laboratory and respect for others in interactions with lab members, collaborators, and others.
Required qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in an appropriate chemical/pharmaceutical science or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Desired qualifications: Knowledge of antibacterial drug development
