Responsibility:


Department of Subways (DOS) Operations Support & Safety is seeking a highly motivated Train Service Supervisor. The selected candidate will become part of an independent "Test Team" that monitors the performance of DOS Field Operations hourly employees through the DOS Safety Unit' s Efficiency Testing Program that is performed systemwide on all tours. The candidate will also investigate safety related complaints for the Division of Stations and Field Operations and will provide guidance to managers, supervisors and/or employees on safety related matters. In addition, the candidate may be required to respond to emergencies within the DOS and provide Support as necessary.


Compensation:

Lateral Transfer (You will maintain your current rate of pay).

Education and Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years in the title of Train Service Supervisor.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of NYCT operating rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Personal written and computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have a good operating and sick record.

Selection Method:


Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.
