This position is included in a bargaining unit of Housing Works’ New York City employees represented by a labor union known as the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (“RWDSU”). Accordingly, the RWDSU has the exclusive right to bargain over the terms and conditions of employment related to this position and this position may become covered by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement (a “CBA”) between Housing Works and the RWDSU

Compensation Range: $60K - 65K annually commensurate with experience

Overview: The Digital Marketing coordinator plays a critical role in meeting the company’s marketing expectations and sales goals. They will monitor the full digital ecosystem. This will include HWCC website, text and email campaigns, HWCC loyalty program, social media marketing, email marketing, and will manage all campaigns for HWCC brand. The coordinator will work closely with the Creative Director to ensure that any brand-specific problems are quickly resolved. They will also help manage any related issues specific to marketing and external teams, which will impact ROAS outcomes. Working with store management, the coordinator will help develop and deliver a legally compliant loyalty program for shoppers. They will work with internal and external marketing staff to promote specials, deals, and events (within the state’s legal framework).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow digital marketing channel ecosystem including social media channels, email/newsletters, SMS/mobile and 3rd party platforms (Weedmaps, Leafly).
  • Oversee strategy and execution, supervising social media, content management, alpine scheduling, coordination with brands and influencers, UGC CTA’s etc.
  • Partner marketing via a variety of retail activations to increase brand awareness and support.
  • Provide coordination with a digital presence to maximize value of events and in-store activations.
  • Identify digital opportunities to drive foot traffic and sell through in the communities we serve.
  • Articulate brand talking points clearly in all digital formats to consumers.
  • Stay aware of competitor activities and emerging trends to provide valuable insights.
  • Work with the HWCC operations team to ensure maximum potential for all campaigns is achieved in-store and that all staff have open communication and understanding of campaigns to maximize sales and customer experiences.
  • Produce sales reports that demonstrate the impact of digital marketing and loyalty program performance.
  • Update the website with offers, deals, and promotions in keeping with state guidelines
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Specialized certificate/training preferred (in cannabis and/or related tech)
