General Description:

The Driver Supervisor will help oversee our team of drivers and monitors to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of our members. The Driver Supervisor must have a firm understanding of our policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of our in-vehicle camera systems, to provide continuous coaching and mentoring uniformly and effectively.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make recommendations for hiring, promotion, and training.
  • Use various methods to provide coaching to staff including but not limited to discreet observations, face-to-face inspections, etc.
  • Must be highly organized with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to be proficient (with training) in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word, RouteMatch, Operational Database(s), RMMobile (PAR), DriverMate(RTA), Navigation usage, and In-vehicle camera system, etc.
  • Must be able to juggle multiple tasks at once and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Provide in-classroom training as scheduled for new hires and re-certifications.
  • Monitor driver compliance with policies and procedures, pre-and post-trip inspections, technology usage, defensive driving, passenger assistance, and other safety-related concerns.
  • Monitor the Nauto in-vehicle camera system to assist with driver coaching and investigations.
  • Ensure that drivers have downloaded the in-vehicle camera system application and assist them with any registration or user issues.
  • Ability to answer questions and provide coaching and mentoring.
  • Gather information from drivers and make recommendations to improve processes.
  • Monitor and reconcile the Issues Log.
  • Monitor in-vehicle camera system to assist with driver coaching as it relates to improving driving habits.
  • Gather information from multiple sources to assist in investigations.
  • Required to drive as needed.
  • Flexible work schedule as needed including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Areas of Knowledge:

  • Company policies and procedures
  • Defensive driving, Passenger Assistance, Safety Procedures, Accident / Incident Procedures
  • Contract compliance with CareSource, CCBDD, LCDJFS, Ohio Department of Education, RTA, etc.
  • Importance of providing excellent customer service to include door to door service, elbow assist, opening-closing doors
  • Tablet operations ? RMMobile (PAR) and DriverMate (RTA); Navigation Usage
  • Computer software such as Microsoft Office, RouteMatch, Operational Databases, In-vehicle camera system, etc.
  • Vehicle fueling, cleanliness and equipment including WC Securement, Lyft Operation (including manual), Seat Belt Usage, pre and post trip vehicle inspections, etc.
  • Importance of on-time first pick-up and window adherence, fare type verification, paperwork completion including signature sheets, etc.
  • Maintenance procedures
  • Uniform compliance

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required plus one year of related experience and/or training in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit, use hands to write and type, talk or hear others in person or by telephone. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and twist the neck. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move approximately 10 to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
