Are you an experienced Emergency Department nurse looking to continue your career path in a challenging fast-paced environment?
Bartlett Regional Hospital provides an Emergency Department that allows you to work with professionals that will include you as an integral part of the care team. You will be valued for your expertise and be included in decision-making. You will be working with patients across the spectrum from newborn to the aged. You will provide care to patients with health care needs that are equally wide ranging. As an ED nurse here, you will see patients with everything from trauma, strokes, and cardiac events to community nursing issues like addiction, mental health, and minor injuries.
In addition to serving Juneau and neighboring communities, there is an influx of visitors due to the cruise ship industry, bringing higher volumes of patients from around the globe during tourist season. The work environment, although fast paced, is also warm and friendly. The nurse to patient ratio is low, compared to larger hospitals in the lower 48.
Bartlett Regional Hospital’s ER is very proud to collaborate with local fire/rescue and the three medivac companies that serve the community in providing emergent services. Continuing education is available to get and keep the certifications and skills you’ll need to provide excellent patient care. If you want to be part of a dynamic team where you will be heard and valued, then this is right career move for you.
