Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Office Coordinator you will use their impeccable customer service skills to assist leadership as they provide oversight of the day to day functions in the unit. Our team supports each other like family and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

In this role:

  • You will manage the Directors’ and Manager’s offices to include maintaining filing systems and performing a wide variety of clerical/secretarial duties.
  • You will coordinate the scheduling for physicians and ensure adequate care team members can support them.
  • You will schedule procedure while ensuring that the resources necessary are known and coordinated accordingly. You will anticipate resource constraints and works with the coordinators and/or clinical staff to resolve scheduling issues proactively.
  • You will greet, register and update the patients/families that arrive in the department for scheduled visits or treatment. Makes rapid determination of each patient/family member, physician and or visitor’s needs.
  • You will assist the Director with researching and resolving patient questions regarding accuracy billing concerns.
  • You will utilize a variety of strategic planning, marketing, and sales methods to accomplish goals and will report to the department director.
  • You will ensure updated forms/orders are available to each unit.
  • You will work with hospital materials management department to ensure proper supply processing.
  • You will maintain and sustain professional ethics and promotes patient’s bill of rights.
  • Organizes and completes work in a timely and professional manner.
  • You will assists patient with obtaining insurance information, completing forms, and submitting to ensure adequate coverage
  • You must be willing to learn E and M (Evaluation and Management) Coding to ensure patients are billed appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Basic Knowledge of Medical terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge of E and M Codding preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification (available after hire) preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years healthcare related experience with a minimum of 2 years in a customer interaction role
