POSITION SUMMARY The Community College of Aurora's Human Resources & Personnel Success department serves our community of diverse staff and student population with principles of equity and inclusion. The Monthly Payroll & Analysis Partner will serve as the college's primary custodian to process monthly payroll for employees, assist with set-up for newly hired employees, and ensure HR data is clean and up-to-date. This role also works closely with the HR Director of Operations to support with employee benefits. This Partner is a first point of contact for many employees to ensure accurate, timely processing of payroll and access to benefits. This individual also serves as a back-up to the HR Technical Specialist for Bi-Weekly Payroll.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with the HR Director of Operations and Payroll Accountant to assist with coordination and timely processing of monthly payroll to include Banner input.
- Maintains reports related to compensation and staffing patterns in collaboration with the HR Director of Operations.
- Assists HR Director of Operations with coordination and implementation of employee benefits, including open enrollment benefits, health fairs, and other benefit-related opportunities.
- Collection and processing of employee tuition benefit program.
- Verify benefit adjustments have been entered correctly monthly.
- Assists with unemployment and workers compensation claims, preparation for hearings as needed.
- Supports processing of monthly payroll corrections.
- Assist the Onboarding and Development Partner with the tracking, coordination, and processing of onboarding documents for full-time employee set-up and maintenance within Banner and NEOGOV.
- Tracks and reports classified probationary employee status and faculty probationary status.
- Assists with processing annual employee salary notifications and contracts.
- Conduct regular data updates to payroll information.
- Conduct PSLF and general employment verifications.
- Supports the Human Resources & Personnel Success team with college-wide event and recognition planning and implementation.
- Oversees the Human Resources department email inbox.
- Promotes sense of awareness and understanding of what it means to support a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce.

- Strong attention to detail and data input skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resource practices and policies including pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations related to payroll and employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat to develop, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets, forms, and reports.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills under strict deadlines.
- Graduation from a college/university with a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field. Substitutable with professional or technical Human Resources experience on a year for year basis.
- Prior experience with Banner, FLAC processing, or NEOGOV/NeoEd.
- Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification
