Job Description

We are seeking a Credit Analyst Intern for our Visalia BBC! The Credit Analyst Intern (CAI) is responsible for supporting a Relationship Manager in analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers. The CAI works in collaboration with the Relationship Manager in determining the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans; assists loan officers in writing loan requests; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. The CAI assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

• Assists SCA in performing pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit culture and current economic and industry trends.
• Prepares spreadsheets and analyzes financial information including financial statements and tax returns.
• Compiles data from credit bureaus, conducts industry peer comparisons, and performs cash flow analyses and other such tasks and comparisons.
• Underwrite loan requests for SCA review; makes recommendation on loan structures and terms to SCA.
• Assist SCA in the review and renewal of credit facilities, and annual loan reviews of term loan customers to determine that current risk grades are still accurate.
  
  

Required Experience

• Must be an active college student in Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing
• Major in Business related field with accounting or finance is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Possess strong written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent organizational/time management skills.
• Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation.
• Project a businesslike professionalism
