Frontier Medicines is actively seeking an accomplished leader to fill the key role of Head of Alliance Management. This pivotal position can be based at either of our R&D locations in Boston or South San Francisco. As the Head of Alliance Management, your role will be to influence in the management and progression of our strategic partnerships. Working seamlessly across internal teams and external stakeholders, you will spearhead efforts to optimize our existing alliances while strategically laying the foundation for future collaborations. This role holds profound significance, as it directly contributes to the realization of our pioneering medicines for the benefit of patients.

Requirements

What will you be doing?

Lead the Alliance Management function, overseeing collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotech partners for an innovative precision medicines portfolio. Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with collaboration goals.

Develop and drive the Alliance Management strategy in collaboration with senior management. Ensure effective decision-making, objective achievement, and issue resolution.

Manage alliance launches, partner relations, and issue resolution. Act as the main point of contact for strategic partners.

Collaborate with internal teams, emphasizing compliance and partnership objectives.

Strengthen industry connections, coordinating governance meetings and enhancing collaboration direction.

Enhance Frontier’s reputation as a preferred partner in the chemoproteomics field.

Coordinate cross-functional teams, communicating organizational priorities and strategies.

Provide timely updates to senior management on alliance issues and resolution.

Mentor and educate on alliance nature, strategic rationale, and best practices.

Traits We Believe Make a Strong Candidate

Expert proficiency in Alliance Management, with a track record of navigating complex organizations, establishing strong partner relationships, and fostering internal and external alliances.

Bachelor's or Master's degree (MBA, PhD preferred).

12+ years of dedicated Alliance Management experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech sector.

Demonstrated interpersonal, influencing, negotiating, and communication skills, maintaining high credibility with all levels of senior management internally and externally.

Extensive experience managing complex agreements and successfully resolving conflicts.

In-depth comprehension of R&D processes, pharmaceutical discovery research, and the ability to navigate effectively within cross-functional matrices.

Effective at communicating / foreshadowing issues before they arise.

Proven ability to work independently, multitask effectively, and manage a diverse range of projects simultaneously.

Resourceful in assimilating information from various sources, including scientific, technical, commercial, legal, and financial aspects.

Demonstrates leadership in both technical and interpersonal skills, with exceptional oral and written communication.

At Frontier we strive to build a diverse and equitable workplace. The salary range for this role is $225,000 - $300,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including candidates' qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
