Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You may also run accounting software programs (e.g. SAP) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts. The successful accounting assistant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively. Duties

• Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Accounts Payable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and prepare payments to vendors.
• Accounts Receivable: Monitor and follow up on customer payments, prepare invoices, and record transactions.
• Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in generating financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Assist in Audits: Prepare documents and assist during internal and external audits.
• Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets.
