  • Provides leadership and overall direction for development and improvement of administrative and operational aspects of the Regional Office
  • Provides analytical, planning, and evaluative reports on internal activities or functions such as human resources, fiscal management, travel, space administration, etc.
  • Supervises a subordinate staff of 5-12 employees performing personnel, time and attendance, and general administrative support work.

  • The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.

Specialized Experience

For the GS-13, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal services.

Experience with leading, directing, coordinating, developing, improving, and managing all administrative activities for the region including the supervision of cost and progress reporting system, coordinating, personnel management activities; time and attendance reporting; overseeing personal property management, and other administrative applications to procure supplies, equipment, and services. Monitor and maintain safety reports and inquiries; mail services; records and files maintenance; travel; space management; and other administrative services necessary to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the technical administrative operations of the Regional Office.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer.
