The Analyst (Semi-Volatile) will be responsible for performing analyses of client samples in the Organic laboratory using analytical techniques and procedures. You will have the opportunity to partner with knowledgeable laboratory professionals to prepare, test, and analyze various sample types for volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds.

What you will do:

  • Perform sample analysis using GC/MS, GC/ECD, and HPLC methods.
  • Collect, prepare and analyze samples within the laboratory environment.
  • Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, evaluating equipment, and performing safety and cleaning procedures.
  • Support the testing process by preparing samples for analysis.
  • Ensure appropriate testing procedures are conducted in compliance with QA and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements.
  • Schedule, prepare, and analyze samples based on method requirements within allotted time frame.
  • Review, complete, and process analytical logs and additional documentation as required.

  • Other duties as required.


What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field; or experience in lieu of.
  • 3+ years previous experience working in an environmental laboratory preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of GC/ECD, GC/MS, and HPLC prescribed methods.
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis and documentation abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of general laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, quick learner, and self-motivated.
  • Prioritize tasks assigned.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Read and write in English, able to follow written/verbal instructions.
