Job Summary
In addition to performing tasks associated with moving goods from one place to another. As the Clamp Lift Operator/Material Handler, you will need to be extremely careful not to damage the goods and position them accurately.
Schedule
Modified Shifts: 34.5/46 hours
Back Half Nights (BHN)
BHN: 8pm – 8am: Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night and e/o Saturday night
Overtime pay is time and a half after working 40 hours within the work week. Shift premium: $1.00 for working 2nd shift, 3rd shift and overnight shifts.
Essentials Duties
Move paper, printing materials and other products to and from the Warehouse to the Press Line or the Bindery Department.
Load and unload trucks.
Inspect and maintain equipment daily.
Use a handheld bar code scanner.
Use of a Slitter Machine.
Track inventory and complete warehouse tally sheets indicating material weight, size and number of skids.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible in fulfilling obligations.
Must work well with others.
Must be flexible and open to change when needed.
Must have the ability to follow instructions.
Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders.
The ability to work up to 10-to-12-hour shifts.
The ability to lift 50 lbs.
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Base knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing while setting up and operating equipment
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
