Position Summary
MADE Hoops is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded Business Strategy Intern to work directly with the Senior Vice President of Strategy.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience on the commercial side of a leading sports organization, including strategic planning, research, and company-building initiatives.
The intern will be exposed to executive-level decision-making and operations across several departments and key business initiatives, including brand partnerships, recruiting, written content, social media, digital marketing, merchandise sales/e-commerce, and technology/development.

Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives across various business units.
- Assist in the analysis of e-commerce and merchandise sales data.
- Provide support in the development of brand partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
- Assist with technology and development projects as needed.
- Support the creation and management of content for social media and digital marketing campaigns, specifically to enhance the company’s profile with brand partners.
- Prepare presentations and reports for executive review.
- Provide administrative support to the SVP of Strategy.
- Complete ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Building a database of multi-court basketball and youth sports facilities throughout North America, and making recommendations on expansion regions.
- Performing a competitive landscape analysis of subscription and membership tiers across youth/amateur sports organizations.
- Identifying opportunities and building recommendations of basketball creators to partner with and/or acquire
- Deep dive into unit economics of ecomm product SKUs
- Building a list of athletes for NIL deal consideration
- Sourcing and evaluating agencies to run paid media campaigns to drive merchandise and event sales
- Putting together an executive brief and recommendation around Buy Now Pay Later vendors and user experiences
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in sports management, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the sports industry, particularly youth basketball.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when participating in executive-level meetings.
- Strong grasp of AI tools and how to leverage them to drive business results
- Living in the Denver, CO or Colorado Springs, CO metro areas.
- Ability to complete 1-3x in-person work sessions per week
- Exposure to executive-level decision-making and strategic planning.
- Hands-on experience in various aspects of sports business operations.
