SUMMARY: The Minnesota Vikings Guest and Premium Experience Game Day Internship program aims to create relationships with aspiring sports and hospitality professionals. Students will receive the opportunity for development of their professional skills within guest relations, ticket operations, and premium services, further allowing them to network with seasoned professionals to achieve their career goals. In addition to their game day role, interns will participate in professional development courses organized by the Minnesota Vikings that will be part of the program curriculum.

Applicants will be considered for all the following positions listed below and will be assigned a specific internship role at the end of the interview process.

VIKINGS AMBASSADOR

The Vikings Ambassadors With Assist The Guest Experience Team By Helping With Stadium Operations And Activations During a Minnesota Vikings Game Day. From Ticket Operations To Assisting With Interactive Fan Activations, The Vikings Ambassadors Will Be An Extension Of The Vikings Brand To Our Fans And Game Day Team Members. The Vikings Ambassadors Will Be Placed In One Of The Following Positions

  • Guest Experience Ambassador:  From the time that gates open, to kick-off, to game end, the Vikings Ambassador will help with any necessary mobile ticketing, security, or guest relations needs at U.S. Bank Stadium. After kickoff, the Vikings Ambassadors will transition into a guest experience role throughout the stadium. These roles will differ dependent on the needs of game day, but many will involve assisting fans on the concourses, aiding the guest relations booths, working activations (such as photo taking on concourses), and helping to assess the overall game day experience through observation.
  • Hype Team Member:  These individuals will be responsible for getting our fans and team members excited for game day. Through interacting with fans and rewarding and recognizing our team members, these individuals will bring joy and energy on game day. Additionally, they are responsible for creating intentional and special experiences for our fans through surprise and delight opportunities. 
  • Activation Assistant : There are many moving parts and interactive activities for our fans to experience on game day. Our activation assistants will help ensure that different activations for our Experiential Youth Marketing, Minnesota Vikings Foundation, and Events team are properly operating and providing our fans with a memorable experience. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

VIKINGS BLACK JACKETS

The Minnesota Vikings Black Jackets will support the Premium Experience team as a game day premium hosts inside U.S. Bank Stadium during Vikings home games. The responsibility of a Black Jacket is to engage with all premium guests inside the many suite and club spaces at U.S. Bank Stadium. Providing best-in-class service and experiences to the greatest fans in the NFL, the goal is to create one of a kind, memorable experiences for the organization’s most highly invested clients. This program has been proven to enhance the quality of service and offered networking opportunities to its members through forging relationships with fans in clubs and suites. 

To further the community relationship of the Vikings’ Premium department, we look at the opportunity of this joint internship program as a tool for professional development of the Twin Cities’ aspiring sports professionals. From 2 hours prior to kick-off, the Vikings Black Jackets will be paired with a veteran of our team for mentorship and guidance in their assigned premium area. 

There will be opportunities for interns in either Clubs or Suites, and they will work closely with both food and beverage and stadium operations staff to ensure exceptional SKOL Service. 

Those assigned to suites will be tasked with getting to know the game-to-game contacts for their respective premium space. They will serve as hosts, updating guests on important game day information and learning how they can enhance the game day experience. In Clubs, they are expected to greet guests and interact with them throughout the season, fostering relationships with season ticket members and taking diligent notes to be given to the Vikings premium team.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Aspiring students that have an interest in hospitality or students that are attending an accredited college or university program.
  • Requirement to work all home games and any tentative playoff games
  • Attend all training, workshop days, networking panels and other events as laid out by the Vikings Guest and Premium Experience Team
