Description
The BH Clinical Receptionist plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of the behavioral health office by providing excellent customer service and assistance to patients seeking mental health services. In addition, the BH Clinical Receptionist will perform a variety of clerical and reception duties involved in maintaining patient medical records, checking patients in/out for appointments, scheduling appointments, obtaining new patient and insurance information, verifying insurance, answering phones and other clerical duties as assigned.

In addition, the BH Clinical Receptionist will perform a variety of clerical and reception duties involved in maintaining patient medical records, checking patients in/out for appointments, scheduling appointments, obtaining new patient and insurance information, verifying insurance, answering phones and other clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional coursework in healthcare administration or related field is preferred.
- EHR experience required.
- Prior experience in a medical or mental health office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health terminology and procedures is preferred.
- At least 1 year in healthcare reception in a clinical setting preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Graduate of certified medical office training course, CNA or Medical Assistant preferred.
