Job Overview – Accounting Manager:

Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounting Manager for our distribution client in Plainfield, NJ, overseeing financial operations, compliance, and process efficiency. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong leadership skills and expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, audits, and fixed asset management.

Compensation: $90,000 – $135,000/year

Location: Plainfield, NJ

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Responsibilities as the Accounting Manager:

• Financial Reporting: Oversee financial statement preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• General Ledger & Entries: Manage GL accounts, payroll accruals, and financial records.
• Fixed Assets & Depreciation: Track fixed assets, in-service dates, and depreciation schedules.
• Project & Cost Accounting: Reconcile tooling projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking.
• Cash & Intercompany Transactions: Handle money transfers and optimize cash flow.
• Audit & Compliance: Lead audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage tax reporting.
  
  

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA or Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience: 5+ years in accounting leadership roles, such as Accounting Manager or Accounting Supervisor.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities, with a proactive approach to financial management.
• Fixed Assets Expertise: Proven experience managing fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Audit & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with year-end audits, regulatory reporting, and best accounting practices.
