The Memorial Behavioral Health (MBH) Quality and Safety Program Manager is responsible for driving improvements in community mental health services through innovative strategies and evidence-based practices. The Program Manager will develop, implement, and oversee initiatives to optimize the overall quality of care provided to clients. Key responsibilities include leading quality improvement efforts focused on client and organizational outcomes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, analyzing data and feedback to measure the effectiveness of existing programs, and ensuring that the highest standards are met. This includes the development of targeted training programs for staff, the introduction of new methodologies, and the application of best practices to elevate service delivery.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree related discipline preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, program management, or safety in a mental health or healthcare setting.
- Program Development and Management
- Develops and implements quality and safety programs to address the unique needs of community mental health.
- Continuously assesses program effectiveness and incorporates feedback for ongoing improvement.
- Project Management
- Establishes clear and measurable goals for quality improvement projects, along with realistic timelines and resource allocation.
- Drafts comprehensive project plans and schedules to drive successful execution.
- Efficiently coordinates resources to maximize utilization and impact throughout the project.
- Promotes open and transparent communication, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed about progress, changes, and overall outcomes.
- Quality Assurance and Improvement
- Design and implement a comprehensive quality assurance framework tailored to community mental health services.
- Conduct regular evaluations of services, identifying areas for improvement in clinical and operational practices.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to create, implement, and monitor quality improvement action plans.
- Safety and Risk Management
- Serves at the MBH Patient Safety Officer.
- Develops and maintains safety protocols and procedures in line with best practices, regulatory requirements, and Memorial Health standards
- Leads efforts in risk management at MBH, conducing thorough investigations of safety incidents, near messes, and adverse events. Collaborates with Patient Safety to implement corrective actions.
- Policy Management
- Reviews and revises organizational policies related to quality assurance and safety, ensuring alignment with current best practices and regulations.
- Stay informed of changes in local, state, and federal regulations affecting mental health services and ensures timely adaptation of organizational policies.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets qualitative and quantitative data regarding client outcomes, service quality, and safety incidents.
- Prepares and delivers reports and presentations to senior management, outlining findings, trends, and recommendations.
- Utilizes data visualization tools and techniques to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Fosters collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Represents MBH at relevant meetings and committees for quality improvement and safety in mental health services.
- Engages with stakeholders to gather feedback on services, ensuring their perspectives inform quality initiatives.
- Training and Education
- Designs and conducts training programs to equip colleagues with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Creates onboarding materials that emphasize quality and safety expectations for new hires.
- Provides ongoing support and mentorship to colleagues in implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Performs other related work as required or requested.
