GMC is seeking a talented and creative Video Editor and Digital Media Coordinator to join our team and help bring our projects to life through engaging visual storytelling. With a commitment to “building communities” throughout the Southeast, GMC aims to showcase not only projects, but their overarching impact on communities and the stories of the people that make them happen.

The Video Editor and Digital Media Coordinator will be responsible for producing high-quality video content that highlights our projects, design processes and company culture. Working closely with architects, engineers, marketing professionals, and external vendors, you will transform raw footage, 3D renderings and drone photography into polished visual stories that resonate with clients, partners, and the public.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce compelling videos, including project case studies, conceptual walkthroughs, construction progress updates, internal communications, trainings and company promotional content.
  • Collaborate with project team members and others to understand project narratives and visualize design concepts effectively.
  • Incorporate 3D architectural renderings, drone footage, photography, and CAD animations into video projects.
  • Create motion graphics, animations and visual effects to enhance storytelling.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all video content.
  • Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Stay up to date with video production trends and tools to suggest creative improvements.
  • Assist with scriptwriting, storyboarding, and planning video shoots when necessary.
  • Help manage GMC’s video library, including its YouTube channels.
  • Assist with other digital media efforts as needed, such as website updates, content development and other needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 to 5 years of experience as a video editor. Experience in architecture, engineering and construction, or a related industry, is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Experience with motion graphics, 3D animations and compositing.
  • Strong storytelling abilities and a keen eye for visual composition.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering tools (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D, Lumion, or Autodesk products) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience capturing and editing drone footage.
  • Knowledge of architectural visualization and an understanding of design terminology.
  • Familiarity with photography, color grading and sound design.
