Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced VP, Compliance to join our team. This is an exciting and challenging role, where you will be responsible for leading and managing the company's compliance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures, leading regulatory audits, and providing guidance on remediation actions and industry trends. This role requires a strong understanding of federal, state, and local health & welfare regulations, and the ability to translate this knowledge into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures across various departments.
  • Act as the compliance subject matter expert, coordinating with internal partners to complete regulatory audits.
  • Lead compliance projects to develop and implement proactive and corrective action plans.
  • Direct client teams and clients on how to achieve compliance.
  • Review compliance requirements, provide guidance on remediation actions and services that could be beneficial with regard to industry trends.
  • Provide federal, state, and local health & welfare research support to internal staff and clients.
  • Lead health & welfare compliance webinars and training for internal staff and clients.
  • Review and approve compliance support materials for the Sales and Marketing Department.
  • Deliver work that meets or exceeds client expectations based on a strong understanding of the client’s business and needs.
  • Participate in discussions and meetings to scope and define projects appropriately.
  • Prioritize and schedule workflow, translating directions into actionable plans that are delivered on time.
  • Assist in overseeing projects, working with a diverse group of professionals who fulfill various roles and responsibilities.
  • Perform compliance reviews of health plan documents and policies, working with insurance companies, self-funded policyholders, and insured clients as well as the internal Client Service team.
  • Work with Business Development personnel, providing information.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the sales industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local health & welfare regulations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Experience in leading regulatory audits and compliance projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead webinars and training sessions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and schedule workflow effectively.
  • Ability to translate directions into actionable plans and deliver them on time.
  • Experience in working with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Strong understanding of the client’s business and needs, with the ability to deliver work that meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Ability to learn quickly and implement new processes in rapid, demanding, and changing environments.
  • Experience in performing compliance reviews of health plan documents and policies.
