Summary
The Senior IT Manager is responsible for the definition, development, implementation and ongoing operations of computer-based systems and related processes for the business unit. The Senior IT Manager manages and implements strategic technology projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within the committed time frame and budget. Additionally, the Senior IT Manager will help to advance the state of project management within the IT department including solution use, standard processes, and a consistent delivery methodology. Leverage IT department to ensure compliance with AMETEK’s system security protocols. In this role, the Senior IT Manager will oversee diverse projects including ERP migrations, IT infrastructure and service delivery optimization, digital transformation and other business needs as required. The Senior IT Manager will report directly to the Division Vice President and Business Unit Controller.

Essential Skills And Responsibilities
- Experience aligning IT department priorities to organization’s vision, strategies, and goals.
- Lead IT department which includes management of direct reports. Ability to teach, coach and develop staff.
- Experience leading ERP conversion(s) projects is a requirement.
- Results focused in an effective, professional, and consistent communication skills are a requirement
- Comfortable relating openly, honestly, and consistently with diverse groups of people
- A proven ability to build strong relationships.
- Management of mobile assets and applications.
- Maintain and manage all relevant IT licenses.
- Leading and collaborating with department members to scope technology initiatives, develop project plans and execute to a successful outcome.
- Proficient knowledge in modern office productivity, communication, and collaboration toolsets with a focus on Microsoft tools
- Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
- Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
- Adapting approach and process to help the team efficiently get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement and consistent communication with stakeholders.
- Occasional travel.
- 5-7 years industry experience with a bachelor’s degree in any field and demonstrated success in IT and people management.
- Experience leading an ERP conversion required.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of project delivery methodologies.
- Ability to interact with company personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understand business imperatives.
- Strong understanding of the business impact of IT tools, technologies, and policies.
- Experience with Linux platforms.
- Experience with Aptean Intuitive and Salesforce a strong plus.
