Focus on reliability, redundancy, and optimal energy management. Proven experience with a commercial mindset: Managing customer expectations, providing technical support, and delivering complex energy solutions while identifying opportunities to bring additional value to the customer.
Power Electronics & Control Systems
Work with power electronics, inverters, and controllers to convert, condition, and distribute power generated by fuel cells. Develop control strategies to ensure the efficient and coordinated operation of fuel cells with other energy sources in grid-connected or islanded modes.
Role & Responsibility - continued
Energy Management & Optimization
Develop and configure energy management systems (EMS) to optimize the operation of fuel cells, energy storage, and other generation sources. Ensure efficient energy flow, load balancing, and peak shaving to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
Reliability & Redundancy Design
Ensure microgrid systems are fault-tolerant, resilient, and meet the high-availability needs of data centers. Implement redundancy strategies (e.g., N+1 configurations) for critical components such as fuel cells, energy storage, and inverters.
Collaboration With Cross-Functional Teams
Work closely with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and data center operations teams to ensure that the microgrid system is fully aligned with facility power requirements. Communicate effectively to ensure timely integration and deployment.
Compliance & Safety Standards
Ensure that all fuel cell microgrid systems meet regulatory requirements, industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC), and safety protocols for energy systems and data centers. Keep updated on environmental regulations and sustainability goals for energy systems.
Troubleshooting & System Support
Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for fuel cell-based microgrid systems. Perform regular performance optimization and address any system failures or efficiency issues that may arise.
