We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our established law firm. The COO will play a significant role in the firm's strategic planning process and will be responsible for driving the firm's operational success. This role will require an individual with a strong background in operations, finance, and marketing/sales, who can drive the firm's growth and profitability while ensuring operational efficiency.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our established law firm. The COO will play a significant role in the firm's strategic planning process and will be responsible for driving the firm's operational success. This role will require an individual with a strong background in operations, finance, and marketing/sales, who can drive the firm's growth and profitability while ensuring operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the firm's day-to-day operations and ensure smooth functioning of various departments including human resources, finance, and administration.
- Develop and implement operational strategies in line with the firm's strategic goals.
- Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leadership to set the firm's strategic direction and drive its execution.
- Ensure the firm's financial performance and growth by developing and implementing sound financial strategies.
- Oversee the firm's budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Develop and implement effective marketing and sales strategies to attract and retain clients.
- Monitor the firm's compliance with legal regulations and professional standards.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment and promote the firm's values and culture.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Lead and motivate staff to advance employee engagement and develop a high performing managerial team.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior management role, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm.
- Proven experience in operations management, financial planning, and strategy development.
- Strong understanding of the legal industry and its regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
- Strong financial and business acumen, with a proven track record of driving growth and profitability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to drive the strategic planning process and execute strategic initiatives.
- Experience in marketing and sales within the legal industry is a plus.
