Description
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager of Revenue Cycle to lead our business office operations. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing billing, collections, insurance claim preparation, and denial management, ensuring seamless performance across all service lines. The Manager will collaborate closely with Finance, Patient Access, Health Information Management, and other stakeholders to drive efficiency, regulatory compliance, and process improvement across the revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Business Office staff; structure workflows and staffing for optimal performance.
- Oversee revenue and accounts receivable functions including insurance verification, billing, collections, chargemaster updates, and denial tracking.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Monitor performance metrics using HFMA’s MAP tools; prepare regular reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with internal departments to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials.
- Foster a positive, growth-oriented work environment and support staff development.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a healthcare business office.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement (Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial payors).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
