Ulta Beauty is expanding its presence globally, and we are seeking a Store Experience Operations Sr. Specialist to support our international growth. This role is the critical liaison between Ulta Beauty’s U.S. teams, global partners, and external vendors, ensuring seamless communication and execution of Store Design and Visual Merchandising initiatives in new markets. The Senior Specialist will oversee project management, process development, and workflow coordination to support new markets.
The Sr. Specialist will support the Senior Manager of Store Experience Operations in developing and implementing processes to fit market needs, track and report on the Store Design and Visual Merchandising critical path milestones and project plans for launch and be the connective tissue in the launch and run state between Ulta Beauty US teams and their international counterparts. The ideal candidate has exceptional verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, a history of leading multiple projects simultaneously, and driving successful results in retail, operational, or service-related industry.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
Store Experience Operations Sr. Specialist is a champion of Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values, and should demonstrate them skillfully and consistently through the following (as well as all other projects/duties as assigned):
Project Management & Global Expansion Support
Support new market expansion projects by managing workflows and coordinating across multiple stakeholders including Store Design, Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, Strategy, Merchandising, Space Planning and Floor Planning.
Ensure all Store Design and Visual Merchandising US projects translate to each market and are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with Ulta Beauty’s brand standards.
Facilitate vendor vetting and certification process, understanding production capacity, lead times, fulfillment reliability, logistics and distribution efficiencies to support global shipments (imports/exports)
Monitor global project timelines, proactively identifying risks and resolving roadblocks.
Process Development & Workflow Management
Develop and refine operational processes to support Ulta Beauty’s Global Store Design and Visual Merchandising efforts.
Establish best practices for tracking and routing critical documentation across multiple regions.
Implement and manage tools/systems for workflow optimization and project tracking.
Documentation & Communication Coordination
Manage the routing, tracking, and distribution of fixture drawings, visual guidelines, schematics, planograms, concept renderings, and other essential documentation between internal/external stakeholders and brands.
Ensure documentation is properly archived and accessible for internal teams and external partners.
Maintain accuracy and consistency across all design and merchandising files, ensuring alignment with Ulta Beauty’s global standards.
Facilitate clear and timely communication between U.S. teams and international stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Store Design, Visual Merchandising counterparts to align on global expansion needs.
Partner with international vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of fixture production and visual merchandising installations.
Collaborate with regional retail teams to ensure in-market compliance with brand guidelines and store layout requirements.

Education
The pay range for this position is $64,900.00 - $86,400.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. The Essentials For Success
Education
- Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in Business, Global Operations, Retail Design, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in project management, operations, or retail store design/visual merchandising support.
- Experience with global expansion projects and cross-border collaboration preferred.
- Robust knowledge of retail design, visual merchandising, fixture and collateral production.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and procedural skills, with a focus project management and process management.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and drive to continuously and proactively manage a heavy workload
- Proficiency in project management and workflow tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Trello, Smartsheet).
- Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Sharepoint
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays
- Normal office demands
- Visit stores to develop an understanding of the store experience and collaborate with field partners
