Position Overview
The Chief of Staff to the CEO is a strategic and execution-focused partner who works directly with the CEO & the Executive Team to drive critical initiatives, enhance organizational effectiveness, and ensure alignment across the executive team. This highly visible role demands a sharp thinker, a proactive problem-solver, and a diplomatic leader who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Partner with the CEO to define strategic priorities and ensure alignment across functions. Quarterback execution of few critical initiatives in varying capacities and monitor progress toward company goals.
Board and Investor Support:
Support the preparation of materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and other key stakeholder engagements. Provide coverage on fundraising efforts and board meetings.
Outbound Business Development:
Shadow, plan, absorb, analyze and action priorities alongside our CEO. This includes but is not limited to:
- Sales (assisting on key meetings with high-profile clients)
- Marketing (supporting high-profile marketing events)
- Strategy (for BD and niche outbound prospects)
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Serve as a liaison between the CEO and senior leadership, facilitating communication, weekly updates and quarterly off-sites to ensure that information flows smoothly and efficiently.
Organizational Effectiveness:
Help build and maintain a strong company culture, and support the CEO in people strategy, internal communications, and leadership development.
Decision Support:
Provide research, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making on business strategy, partnerships, and organizational priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience across consulting, investing, strategy & operations
- Demonstrated “hustle” in ambiguous contexts to deliver outcomes
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience working closely with senior executives or C-level leadership
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and project management skills
- High emotional intelligence and sound judgment
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion
