The Total Rewards Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing payroll processing and serving as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to total rewards, including compensation, benefits, and wellness initiatives. This position ensures accurate and timely payroll execution and provides expert support and guidance to employees on total rewards programs, ensuring their needs and inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll:
- Direct payroll processing and serve as the point person for employee requests regarding payroll and benefits.
- Primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries while upholding confidentiality data.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation when required.
- Partner with finance on payroll-related reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and sales information.
- Payroll system management, ideally experienced with ADP Workforce Now.
Benefits:
- Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs.
- Primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
- Providing information about benefits plans through orientations, newsletters, and other communication.
- Open enrollment support.
Rewards:
- Manage sales commission processing.
- Coordinate annual benefits enrollment and manage employee education efforts around benefit offerings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws and regulations.
- Oversee the processing and monitoring of leaves of absence, including FMLA, disability and workers’ compensation in accordance with applicable State and Federal law.
- Provide support and guidance to employees on total rewards-related questions.
- Provide support to the Pre-Need Sales team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, total rewards, compensation, or benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, benefits management, and HR compliance.
- ADP Workforce now experience, nice to have.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES
- Proficient with systems like ADP, Workday, SAP, UKG, Oracle or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of payroll procedures, tax laws and relevant labor regulation.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to analyze payroll and benefits data to identify trends and optimize compensation strategies.
- Attention to detail by ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations, benefits processing and reporting
- Ability to explain compensation policies to employees and resolve payroll-related inquiries
- Manage multiple deadlines for payroll cycles work priorities
