We are seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to support a Trust & Estate Partner in Ann Arbor, MI. This part-time role involves partnering with the assigned attorney to maintain an efficient daily workflow and independently manage administrative services for business clients. The ideal candidate will also assist with reception duties as needed. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Job Responsibilities
Manage assigned attorney calendar, and appointments.
Screen and respond to incoming client calls and correspondence.
Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports and other complex corporate documents.
Oversee the entire client file process, from initiation to finalization.
Prepare estate planning signing binders.
Conduct attorney time entry and billing.
Prepare and file documents with governmental authorities in Michigan and other states.
Make travel arrangements as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality of all firm and client matters.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
High proficiency in PDF software.
Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills with strong proof reading and prioritization abilities.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with document management systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of firm employees.
Proactive, positive, energetic, and a hard-working team player.
Understands the importance of confidentiality.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
