We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our team!
As our Design Engineer, you will be our in-house technical expert for new and existing configurations of In-flight entertainment (IFE) connector solutions, custom modular products, and other core products as needed.

As our Design Engineer, you will be our in-house technical expert for new and existing configurations of In-flight entertainment (IFE) connector solutions, custom modular products, and other core products as needed.
Essential Functions
- Lead design of new connector concepts through product development lifecycle and support transfer to production
- Prepare technical proposals (including product features & benefits, project schedule, costs, test plans, etc.)
- Generate engineering drawings and product specifications
- Lead formal internal processes such as design reviews, engineering changes, FMEA, and contract reviews
- Interface with cross-functional teams including quality, sales & marketing, electrical & software engineering, purchasing, planning, and outside vendors
- Occasional domestic travel (up to 10%) and regularly meet with customers
- Additional duties as assigned
- 3+ years' experience in related field
- Computer literacy with MS Office suite
- CAD software experience
- Knowledge of rapid prototyping/additive manufacturing methods and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound problem solving skills, attention to detail, methodical and well organized
- Experience with environmental testing
- Prior interconnect design experience in AS9100 or equivalent quality management system
- Experience with CREO and/or Solidworks CAD systems
- Experience with electronic component and PCB packaging, electrical and/or software engineering knowledge
- Familiarity with plastic injection molding, metal machining, and plating/coating methods
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
- BSME
