Job Summary
Responsible for developing and directing programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image for the company. This is a senior, strategic role that partners with the California Senior Leadership Team and communications leaders across the company. Organizes a significant flow of work and meets and ensures appropriate deadlines are met. Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes to the development of the organization's business strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Typically manages multiple teams of professionals. Chief responsibility is to increase external understanding and awareness of the organization among priority audiences.

Salary
Primary Location Pay Range: $179,034.22 - $268,551.33
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus. Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- This role is part of an integrated external affairs team that includes community impact and local and state government affairs.
- Builds communications programs that help us expand our network and increase favorable brand sentiment among our target audiences; including issues advocacy and public affairs campaigns.
- Serves as liaison with PR agencies, news agencies, event organizers, to ensure project goals are met and timetable/budget parameters are kept.
- Writes/edits significant communications pieces including management speeches and parts of annual reports.
- Focuses direction and efforts on understanding what audience is to be reached and with what message.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Delegates activities/projects among less experienced assistants to ensure timely results; monitors progress and provides guidance as appropriate.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
