Position Overview

This position is responsible for packaging a variety of hand instruments into final specification, ensuring that the right envelope or other packaging components are utilized and labeled correctly. Batch records and production log are required to be completed accurately and error-free. This is a fast-paced position and requires attention to detail.

Essential Duties

• Condition of employment requires knowledge and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as applicable to the position
• Be proactive with own safety and report any potential safety issues to supervisor
• Examine and inspect instruments and packaging components to ensure that product quality and packaging specifications are met, applying tip protectors when required
• Ensure that the label detail matches instrument part number and lot code
• Close and seal product enclosures (envelopes & clamshells) upon completion of packing
• Record product, packaging, and order details on specified forms, batch records and logs
• Consistently meet or exceed production goals and efficiency while maintaining quality standards
• Remove and report any incomplete or defective products for quality review
• Report any low component stocking levels
• Follow all written and verbal instructions/guidelines
• Complete other duties as assigned
