Job Overview

Paramount Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Access Control/Surveillance Technician to lead our cutting-edge security systems team in Southern California. This role is ideal for someone with deep knowledge of access control and surveillance systems, who is also passionate about training and leading others. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our clients' properties remain secure through expertly managed systems, and you'll help shape the next generation of service techs. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of commercial access control and surveillance camera systems.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and respond to service calls as needed.
  • Train incoming service technicians to ensure they are prepared to handle solo service calls with professionalism and expertise.
  • Evaluate prospective hires to ensure technical aptitude and cultural fit within the team.
  • Develop and implement procedures for system checks, preventative maintenance, and emergency response protocols.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and technology trends to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support across the team to promote knowledge-sharing and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless integration of security systems in construction projects.

Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience with access control and surveillance systems (hardware and software).
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or construction-related role.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and evaluate service technicians.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills in real-time service scenarios.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership and client interaction.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and managing multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time, Monday to Friday
