The Corporate HR Manager/HR Business Partner serves as a strategic and operational HR leader for the Piston Group corporate office. This role supports employees and leaders in delivering people strategies aligned with business objectives and the ONE PISTON Talent Cycle.This role is accountable for core HR functions including performance and talent management, workforce planning, DEI, internal mobility, employee relations, and compliance. The HRBP ensures responsive support, functional excellence, and continuous improvement while building leadership maturity and a positive, inclusive employee experience.

Responsibilities
Strategic Talent and Organizational Support
- Aligns HR initiatives with corporate business goals in partnership with the HR Director/ Director of Talent Development.
- Drives and manages the ONE PISTON Talent Cycle process and timelines for the corporate offices, including performance management, goal setting, mid-year checkpoints, calibration sessions, and year-end reviews.
- Partners with the Director of Talent Development to coordinate leader training, career development planning, succession strategies, organizational development and workforce optimization processes for corporate roles.
- Uses data and talent analytics to identify trends, risks and opportunities related to engagement, capability development and DEI.
- Drives performance management activities, including coaching leaders on feedback conversations, and development conversations, performance improvement plans (PIPs) and individual development plans (IDPs).
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement by creating opportunities for employees to provide feedback and suggest improvements to the work environment and HR services.
Talent Acquisition & Internal Mobility
- Leads Talent Acquisition and internal mobility efforts for the Piston Group corporate staff, and executive level positions across all business units, including all Vice President and above roles.
- Manage internal mobility strategies to identify, attract, and grow talent from within, aligned with DEI metrics and goals.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to build strong university relationships and coordinate the internship program.
Employee Experience, Engagement And Relations
- Serves as the primary HR contact for corporate office employees and leaders, offering support, coaching and conflict resolution.
- Addresses employee relations matters including investigations, terminations, and separation agreements, with professionalism, empathy, and legal compliance.
- Drives inclusion, engagement, and well-being activities through responsive internal customer support and culture-building efforts.
- Drives and maintains diversity & inclusion programs, metrics, and reporting the results.
- Encourages or leads participation in corporate social responsibility and community outreach programs that reinforce Piston Group values and foster employee connection.
- Coordinates structured recognition programs, to reinforce employee contributions and promote a culture of appreciation.
HR Operations, Systems and Compliance
- Acts as the subject matter expert for ADP and related HRIS tools and performs administrative tasks in support of the organization (New hires, promotions, PSCFs, terminations).
- Partners with the Benefits Manager to resolve benefit-related employee concerns.
- Administers internal communications regarding HR programs, policies and updates.
- Ensures HR compliance by maintaining and deploying HR policies, the employee handbook, and training programs on topics related to it.
Compensation And Rewards
- Manages the annual merit planning and bonus cycles for the corporate office and consolidate recommendations across business units.
- Collaborates with Finance and HR leadership to ensure alignment between performance, compensation and recognition strategies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive human resources experience.
- Experience as an HR Manager with experience in all aspects of a corporate HR office.
- Experience in an Automotive or Manufacturing organization highly preferred.
- Experience in developing and executing HR programs that increase diversity and inclusion for all aspects of the corporate office.
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field required.
- 3 years of experience working with ADP or similar HR systems.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with MS Office Suite at an intermediate to advanced level.
