Job Summary

Cirrus is currently seeking a Program Manager to lead and oversee new product development initiatives within our aircraft Innovation and Operations division. This role involves managing cross-functional teams and resources to drive the successful design, development, and implementation of innovative aviation products.

The Program Manager will be responsible for creating and executing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations. This position requires a proactive leader with strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to solve complex challenges in a dynamic engineering and production environment

Duties And Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • This position requires a high degree of interaction and effective communication creating a team of engaged internal/external stakeholders is required for success and therefore communication and facilitation skills are critical.
  • Individual must be able to lead highly diverse, cross-functional teams and effectively execute all project phases in the project lifecycle using industry standard tools and methodology. The position will require focus on project initiating and planning phases to drive decision making. Strong executive level communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Role is responsible for managing programs’ scope, schedule, budget, product bill of materials cost and product weight. Driving the adherence to programs requirements and objectives, while managing/mitigating program risks.
  • Must have experience using project management measurement techniques, including CIP/SPI and Earned Value
  • Must have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously using a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) methodology and project scheduling tools. Program Manager needs to have demonstrated performance leading teams to obtain desired project or program results.
  • Due to the cross-functional nature of this position, individual needs to be highly effective at coaching/training to mentor the various skill levels of project teams.
  • Managing several projects as part of a program requires extreme attention to detail.
  • Position requires program level budget tracking including project expense, revenue, and/or capitalization.
  • Travel, up to 25% may be required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university, and 5+ years of project management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PMP certification preferred (required within 12 months)
  • Risk management experience required.
  • Strong skills in using schedule management software
  • Experience in using visualization tools like tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working with financial modeling and business proposals preferred.
  • Continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language.
