Job Function: With the Director and Associate Director of Women’s Basketball, oversee and manage all aspects of the student-athlete experience, lodging, merchandise, licensing, and hospitality, for the Division I Women's Basketball championship.             

Job Responsibilities            

Oversight of NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship student-athlete experience.

  • Oversight and management of the memento and awards program for all rounds of the championship.
  • Oversight and management of the team welcome and team host program at regional rounds and the Women’s Final Four.
    • Manage the coordination of the student-athlete and family lounges, including working with hotels and other vendors to identify space and amenities, equipment, furniture, load-in/out, etc., at Women’s Final Four.
    • Develop and manage initiatives connected to the student-athlete experience.
    • Manage the budget for student-athlete experience items.
    • Oversight and management of the NCAA Championship Academic Award for the DI Women’s Basketball championship.
    • Coordinate with men’s basketball, corporate relations and other NCAA internal departments, where applicable.

Administration of the Division I Women’s Basketball Championship.

  • Oversight of the championship lodging program including serving as primary liaison to the host lodging liaisons and the NCAA’s hotel management company.
  • Oversight and management of all hospitality events for all rounds of the Division I Women’s Basketball championship and other hospitality events on site at Women’s Final Four (e.g. pregame events).
  • Oversight of all apparel orders and serve as the liaison to merchandise partners, licensing staff and vendors for all rounds of the championship.
  • Serve as support liaison for championship branding (e.g. décor, logos, signage).
  • Provide support to the Associate Director and Director of Women’s Basketball.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two to four years of experience in athletic administration.
  • Three to four years of meeting and/or event planning experience.
  • Basketball operations, equipment and event management experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Operating knowledge of Windows based software including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision, quickly and under pressure.
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities, including independent ownership of projects.
  • Willingness to assess processes and systems in order to explore continuous improvements, creativity and insight in order to implement new processes to improve efficiency.
  • Estimated Travel Required: <20%
  • This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana. The current work environment is hybrid; 3 days in the office and 2 days are remote.
