Job Summary

Our Production Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving the processes related to the fulfillment of orders within our supply chain and kitting operation. This position gathers, processes, and analyzes data to optimize the efficiency, accuracy, optimize kitting operation and cost-effectiveness of order fulfillment, inventory management, and related operations. This includes warehousing, shipping, and handling customer orders.

Responsibilities

Data Collection & Reporting:

  • Collects data from various systems (such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)).
  • Develops dashboards, visualizations, and reports and tracks performance metrics such as order processing time, fulfillment accuracy, stock levels, and delivery times.

Performance Analysis:

  • Analyzes fulfillment data and identifies trends, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement.
  • Tracks KPIs for on-time delivery, order accuracy, and order cycle time, and provides insights into how these metrics can be improved.

Optimization:

  • Analyzes order requirements and aggregates to optimize kitting/fulfillment workflow.
  • Works closely with operations team and builds out the carton pack-out for kitting requirements.
  • Works closely with operations team to design and implement improvements in processes for inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Uses data to recommend strategies for improving labor efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Forecasting & Demand Planning:

  • Analyzes historical data, forecasting demand and inventory needs, ensuring that the fulfillment process is prepared for seasonal variations, promotions, and other changes in demand.
  • Works with other teams to ensure that the necessary resources are available for high-demand periods.

Cost Control:

  • Monitors and analyzes fulfillment costs, including shipping, labor, and storage, and identifies opportunities to reduce these costs without compromising service quality.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams such as supply chain, logistics, customer service, and IT to address issues and implement solutions.
  • Communicates findings and recommendations to stakeholders, often presenting data in a way that is actionable for different teams.

Process Improvement:

  • Identifies areas where automation or technology can improve operations, and helps implement and optimize software tools or systems, where needed.
  • Evaluates and helps to implement new technologies like AI, robotics, and machine learning to improve fulfillment operations.

Ad-hoc Analysis:

  • Conducts a deep-dive analyses to support specific operational challenges and business decisions, such as assessing the impact of changes to shipping carriers and pricing strategies.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science/Analytics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Warehouse environment or the supply chain industry.
  • Experience working in collaborative environment with cross-functional teams is required.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong skills in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Access, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of logistics, inventory management, order processing, and related concepts.
  • Ability to identify trends, diagnose operational inefficiencies, and propose solutions.
  • Precision in tracking and reporting metrics, as small errors can have significant impacts in fulfillment operations.
  • Ability to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with common fulfillment or warehouse management software.
