Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering activities necessary to develop competitive mechanical systems and products.
- Design and optimize mechanical structures, breaking them down into subsystems and components, while crafting detailed product specifications.
- Evaluate existing subsystems for reuse and develop alternative structural solutions, selecting the most effective ones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create CAD models and BOM structures.
- Lead design reviews with internal and external stakeholders for quality assurance.
- Perform calculations and analyses, ensuring designs meet all requirements, such as FEA and design for manufacturability.
- Oversee DFMEA creation and assess risk for parts deviating from specifications.
- Manage plant requests related to existing products, ensuring quality and performance consistency.
- Define testing procedures, validate tool designs, and coordinate with test labs for product testing.
- Innovate new, advanced, and patentable technologies to enhance our product offerings.
- Guide technical interactions with customers and suppliers throughout the product development cycle.
- Conduct benchmarking studies of competitor and customer specifications to maintain our competitive edge.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; other engineering degrees or equivalent technical experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling software for creating component and assembly models.
- Preferred: Experience and knowledge in automotive industry, specifically in chassis technologies such as steering, brake, or suspension systems.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment visa or sponsorship.
