Overview

Astrion is in search of a Test Engineer to provide engineering support to facilitate and execute system development, procurement, and deployment within the CUAS Product Office International Directorate. This will involve systems engineering, test and validation planning, product assurance and development of end user requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports for C-UAS system(s) capabilities
  • Creating test plans and detailed test procedures to satisfy requirements for C-UAS capabilities
  • Ensuring customer requirements are met by analyzing data to determine system’s abilities to meet customer stated needs
  • Developing mitigation strategies for identified issues and following up to ensure problems are resolved
  • Providing Tech Lead with timely information and periodic reports pertaining to the overall status of all assigned projects
  • Participating in integrated product teams in formulating, coordinating, and consolidating customer requirements to enable capability recommendations
  • Develop and deliver briefings to senior stakeholders across all project phases
  • Participate with cooperative agencies for test readiness review and input into project office wide integrated testing program/plan
  • Prospective Engineers should be creative, have good problem-solving skills, and work well under stressful situations as part of a team or individually.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
  • Experience planning, preparing, executing test plans (validation and Verification activities)
  • Experience developing information papers and decision briefings
  • Experience with requirements management
  • Experience with radar, Electromagnetic Warfare, or kinetic defeat

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline with 3-10 years direct experience
  • US Citizen with ability to receive DoD TS/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Previous experience in Army Program Office Engineering Team is preferred
  • Must possess strong communications and analytical skills, be a self-starter, and detail oriented
  • Counter Unmanned Aircraft System and/or Test and Evaluation experience
  • 15% Travel
