Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.

Your Impact
- Read contract plans, specifications, and contract language.
- Monitor field work activities to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Perform project closeout activities, including but not limited to punch list and substantial completion inspections and tracking.
- Attend stakeholder partnering meetings, coordinate decisions with City Engineering Staff.
- Observes highway work zones and traffic control setups and reports potential issues to supervisor.
- Reviews project activities with contractor's field supervision.
- Documents daily work activities and pay items.
- Works under the direct supervision of a Field Project Engineer or Construction Manager.
- Additional responsibilities as needed.
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management degree program with 2+ years completed.
- Computer skills including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Bluebeam.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work weekends, nights, and swing shifts as required on assigned projects.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Experience in the construction field.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Greenbook specifications and standards.
- Ability to read road and bridge construction plans.
