Description

Join Amazon's mission to revolutionize sustainable transportation and help shape the future of eco-friendly logistics. As a Business Analyst II focusing on sustainability initiatives, you'll drive data-driven solutions to decarbonize complex global supply chains while working toward Amazon's ambitious goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact environmental change at scale, analyzing and optimizing transportation networks that move billions of units annually across air, sea, and land.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead diagnostic analytics and develop insights to support decarbonization efforts across global transportation networks, including aviation, maritime, and ground logistics

  • Monitor and validate emissions metrics across transportation modes while developing comprehensive documentation of methodologies
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance data visibility and program effectiveness

A day in the life

You'll start your day reviewing sustainability performance metrics across various transportation networks, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. You might collaborate with stakeholders to analyze the impact of new sustainable fuel technologies or optimize route efficiency to reduce emissions. Throughout the day, you'll use your analytical expertise to process complex datasets, create insightful visualizations, and present findings to leadership. You'll work independently while maintaining strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, contributing to strategic decisions that advance Amazon's sustainability goals.

The Global Logistics Sustainability team is dedicated to transforming transportation networks to meet ambitious environmental targets. We focus on innovative solutions for traditionally hard-to-decarbonize sectors, working at the intersection of data analytics, sustainability, and supply chain optimization.
