POSITION PURPOSE

The Human Resource Recruiter is responsible for overseeing the recruiting process for Prosperity Bank. The Recruiter pre-screens all applicants to insure the most qualified applications are forwarded to the hiring managers for interviewing. The Recruiter will guide managers through the hiring process to insure proper procedures are followed in the selection of the most qualified candidate.

Essential Functions And Basic Duties

Assumes responsibility for effectively reviewing and processing applicant information.

  • Reviews applications, screen candidates, and manages the submission and tracking of resumes in the company’s database
  • Determines if applicants are qualified for positions
  • Processes required pre-employment screenings (credit, criminal, and any other necessary)
  • Reviews and distributes applications to the appropriate department managers once necessary reports have been reviewed and approved.
  • Corresponds with managers and applicants regarding job postings and applicant status via phone, email, or US mail.
  • Records information regarding applicant status or job posting in the appropriate system or applicant profile.
  • Responsible for closing positions once candidates have been selected and approved for hiring.

Assumes responsibility for opening and closing positions.

  • Receives and reviews posting approvals and Job Requisition forms from management.
  • Create and post jobs on Prosperity Bank Website.
  • Responsible for posting open Employment job ads with the Texas Workforce Commission and in local area newspapers, colleges, and job boards as needed.

Assumes Responsibility For Other Human Resources Functions As Needed.

  • Coordinates temporary staffing.
  • Backs up other Recruiters when they are out of bank.
  • Provide upper management with Applicant/Affirmative Action reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Associate degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience

Required Knowledge

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook

Understanding of Human Resources laws

Requires, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the Company, a basic understanding of the Bank’s organizational structure

Extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices

Experience Required

Prior Human Resource experience preferred

Ability to manage priorities and workflow

Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment

Detail Oriented

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

40 hours per week.
