Key Responsibilities

The Business Technology Manager will lead and manage a team of IT Analysts responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting applications for one or more functions, such as Finance, HR, Legal, R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain.

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide oversight, management, and direction to the business technology team of up to 6 IT professionals
  • Develop strong skills and competencies within team to support multiple projects; coach and mentor team
  • Maintain project portfolio for assigned business organizations
  • Facilitate Technical Solution Strategies and Strategic Technical Roadmaps that support Kraton’s Business Organizations
  • Maintain project portfolio; coordinate with the business and technology teams, ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
  • Drive system and process improvements by collaborating with functional leadership, adhering to vision and strategy.
  • Investigate and prototype new technology and business solutions to support anticipated business needs
  • Manage IT capital projects, inclusive of scope development, execution, scheduling, resource coordination, budget monitoring, and transition activities

Ensure consistent alignment, leveraging Kraton IT methodologies and SOX compliance for change-management.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in one or more functional areas such as:
    • Business Solutions Implementation (i.e. Finance, HR, Legal)
    • Projects and portfolio management
  • 2+ years leading and managing a team
  • Strong knowledge of finance business processes, including but not limited to the following:
    • Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Accounts Payable/Receivables
    • Treasury
    • Financial Consolidation and Reporting
    • Financial, managerial and tax accounting
  • Knowledge of human resource business processes, including but not limited to the following:
    • Recruitment
    • Onboarding
    • Training
    • Performance Management
    • Compensation and Payroll
  • Demonstrated implementation experience of major IT Solutions and ERP systems, including SAP, SuccessFactors
  • Must possess excellent organization, prioritization and communication skills
  • Strong problem resolution skills with drive and focus on accuracy and completion
  • Strong business and product portfolio understanding and how technology can be leveraged to support and improve operations
  • Demonstrated understanding of various IT systems, integrations, and how they can impact one another
Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related field of study from an accredited college/university.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
