Your ‘day to day’:
By building one US affiliate with a Smoke Free Future vision that includes IQOS and Zyn as iconic brands, the US People and Culture (P&C) team is the at the center of the smoke free future that PMI is driving and at the core of ensuring its success. Today and tomorrow. As senior member of the US P&C team, you will be responsible to build, grow and support one of our large manufacturing centers to enable business expansion and growth through the definition and implementation of the people agenda, contributing to deployment of an effective and efficient organization, building a sustainable and diverse talent pipeline, coaching the related US Leadership team.
You will work closely with members of the U.S. leadership team in building and deploying the People & Culture strategy in the U.S. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture U.S. responsible for Operations functions, you will act as a trusted advisor and coach for our employees and leadership through closely partnering with the business.

PMI’s affiliates first entered the U.S. market following the company’s acquisition of Swedish Match in late 2022. Philip Morris International and its U.S. affiliates are working to deliver a smoke-free future. Since 2008, PMI has invested $12.5 billion globally to develop, scientifically substantiate and commercialize innovative smoke-free products for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke with the goal of transitioning legal-age consumers who smoke to better alternatives. In 2022, PMI acquired Swedish Match – a leader in oral nicotine delivery – creating a global smoke-free champion led by the IQOS and ZYN brands. Who we’re looking for:
- University degree in HR, Business Psychology, Social Sciences or related field.
- 7+ years in a strategic HR Business Partner / Sr. Manager or Director role supporting senior stakeholders, in CPG manufacturing environment supporting large scale operations (500 employees or more).
- Experience in building an organizational strategy that complements the overall business vision including organizational objectives, action plans, communication, talent and engagement strategies and measurement of success.
- Experience in supporting and coaching senior leaders in developing and building high performing business focused organizations.
- Experience in building and leading successful mid to senior level HR Teams.
- Ability to create a positive measurable impact on the organization through structured action on business challenges, delivering relevant HR solutions and providing guidance to organizational stakeholders
- Emotional intelligence and resilience: proven ability to listen and connect with internal stakeholders, displaying diverse relationship styles to enable a productive work environment.
- Ability to work with complexity and ambiguity, supporting the business teams undergoing continuous evolution and fast transformation.
- Critical thinking to interpret data and influence people decisions that will help achieve consumer satisfaction, business growth and financial profit.
- Operational efficiency: ability to manage operational tasks in accordance and compliance with defined practices in an efficient manner, while keeping the focus on strategic priorities
- MUST BE: Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must Have Union Experience
- A deeper knowledge of one/two people levers and experience in people Centre of Excellence is a plus (e.g. organization effectiveness, talent development).
