We are hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst to assist the Budget & Forecasting Product Owner in managing the team's backlog, gathering and documenting business requirements, executing on release plans, and providing administrative support in data analysis and functional testing for revenue forecasting within the Anaplan Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tool. The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and communication skills to deliver impactful Anaplan solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Knowledge & Stakeholder Management

The Anaplan Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with the Product Owner and the business users to document and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for development teams. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, systems, and data to develop solutions that address complex problems and accelerate value for stakeholders.

Backlog Management - Collaborate with the Product Owner to create, maintain, and prioritize the team’s backlog to align with business objectives.

Requirements Gathering and Documentation - Work closely with internal stakeholders to elicit, document and validate detailed business and functional requirements; translate business requirements into actionable user stories, ensuring solutions such as dashboards, reports, and self-service datasets are reliable, scalable, and widely adopted.

Sprint Planning - As a key member of the scrum team, the analyst will leverage Agile practices to deliver iterative value and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and architects, to execute strategic programs. They will also contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and self-service analytics enablement while identifying opportunities to enhance processes and solutions.

Solution Demos - By participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) support, providing business demos, and conducting thorough quality assurance, this individual will ensure solutions meet stakeholder needs and drive measurable outcomes.

Anaplan Administration and Support - Assist in troubleshooting and resolving Anaplan-related issues; support data integration efforts and accurate revenue forecasting reporting.

Collaboration and Communication - Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding backlog status and priorities, liaison between stakeholders and technical teams; conduct Sprint planning sessions.

About You

Basic Qualifications

Business Analysis - 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, systems administration

Anaplan Platform Expertise - 3-5 years' experience working with the Anaplan platform including model building, workspace management, and data integration.

Agile Methods - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and working with tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA

Financial Forecasting - Experience with financial forecasting, revenue analysis, or corporate finance operations.

Model Building: Level 1 or 2 proficiency in Anaplan model building translating business processes into model schemas.

Data Integration: Experience with design of batch import processes using Anaplan Connect and APIs

User Access & Security: Managing user roles, permissions, and security settings to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Business Intelligence: Conduct wireframing during the initial phases and recommend data solutions that optimize performance, collaborating with business units to align reporting.

The pay range for this position is $88,700.00 to $127,500.00 USD, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
