Job Summary

Kenah One Health Care Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist/Counselor to provide individual, group, and family therapy services to clients experiencing mental health challenges. The therapist will assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans tailored to client needs, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) or LGPC (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor).
• Higher levels of licensure (LCSW-C, LCPC) are encouraged to apply.
• Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners or the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with co-occurring disorders.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care.
• Strong clinical documentation skills and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding of confidentiality laws, ethics, and professional standards.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to address issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders.
• Collaborate with medical and behavioral health professionals to coordinate integrated care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies as needed.
• Educate clients and families on coping strategies, mental health wellness, and community resources.
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to support client care.
